Supervisor

SUMMARY STATEMENT/POSITION OVERVIEW 

Oversees productivity and process management in production department.  Provides support to floor supervisors to ensure that the operation is functioning properly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES 

·       Maintains a clean work area, consistent with workplace organization / 5S ideology.

·       Monitors open production orders and ensures everything is processed in a timely manner.

·       Monitors performance of employees to ensure productivity standards are met.

·       Supervises all production activities.

·       Directs Production Supervisors to address daily needs, issues, or concerns.

·       Issues warning notices to employees for violations of rules or company policies or performance deficiencies.  Ensures that all vacation request form are filled out and turned into Human Resources.

·       Communicates daily expectations to Supervisors and production floor personnel.

·       Promotes safe work environment.

·       Provides daily operations reports.

·       Leads scheduled Lean “Waste Walks” on production floor.

·       Performs other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS (List specific skills required but not defined in Dimensions) 

·         Bachelor’s Degree in related field (business, supply chain, etc.)

·         Good verbal and written communication skills, instructional and leadership skills

·         Ability to demonstrate full understanding of production flow process

·        Strong Microsoft office and computer applications skills

·         Ability to use SAP as related to production
