General Warehouse Supervisor

Department: Warehouse
Location: Dearborn, MI

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the daily tasks of all 2nd Shift KIT warehouse employees.  Responsible for Ford Kit, Mopar and GM warehouse processes.


  • Oversees activity of the warehouse staff, including but not limited to: monitoring picking progress, put-away, material returns and the timely handling of such returns, maintenance and control practices.
  • Also responsible for cycle counting process and efficiency leading up to year-end inventory audit.
  • Coordinates picking activity to satisfy the production schedule
  • Prepares work orders for handoff to production staff
  • Coordinates the return of all material back into the warehouse
  • Verifies counts for accuracy.
  • Verifies appropriate condition of stock.
  • Coordinates coverage during employees’ vacations.
  • Promotes a safe work environment.
  • Ensures training of new employees, retraining of old (if required) and cross training to allow for a flexible workforce and opportunities for advancement.
  • Communicates effectively and regularly with the warehouse staff.
  • Maintains relevant procedures, processes and work instructions.
  • Issues warning notices to employees for violations of rules or company policies or performance deficiencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS (List specific skills required but not defined in Dimensions)

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in automotive warehousing
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in SAP and with basic computer skills
  • Ability to use SAP as related to production, preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop and implement the use of processes and procedures
  • Ability to use all relevant systems, programs, and equipment to complete job
